Good morning, followers!
We just had the first weekend in May and there are a lot of great things happening right now.
Governments are issuing new orders. Businesses are opening up. And best of all, reservations are being made. All movements in a good direction.
I have received some incredible feedback from so many of you on the video from a couple of weeks ago on personal purpose.
So much so, that I want to give you the steps to define your personal purpose today.
This, of course, is the first exercise I go through with my clients and is the first exercise in my course: Grow A Profitable & Thriving Adventure Business.
It is so incredible, so empowering, and is your personal GPS as you navigate business ownership.
It provides you with the roots for all decision making. It provides you a path to move forward and boundaries to keep you on track.
Are you ready to do it? I bet you are.
But first, one more disclosure.
This exercise is from Garry Keller’s book The ONE Thing. It is one of my favorite books and one that I have most of my clients read. I encourage you to pick up a copy as well.
So, let us go through this exercise, together.
First, I want you to grab a pen and scratch paper. Or, if you are on your computer open up a word doc, Excel, or something similar.
Now, write out five activities you love in life. Anything, what activities bring you the most joy? It can be with work, family, community, nature, outdoors, anything. Five activities that you love. Do not overthink it. Just write them out.
Now, write out five outcomes you desire. Anything. It can be with work, financial, personal, your community, your family, to help people in another country, anything. Five outcomes. Do not overthink it. Just write them out.
Now that you have your five activities and five outcomes. Circle one from each that gives you the best feels. One activity. One outcome. Again, do not overthink it. Just circle one of each that makes you most happy.
Now let us combine them into a single statement. For example, “My purpose is to Activity through Outcome.” Or flip it to say, “My purpose is to Outcome through Activity.”
Read it. How does it feel? Great? Empowering?
Save it and put it somewhere you will see every day. Also, I want you to share it with the world. Share it with your spouse, your friends, your family, your colleagues, your coworkers. Let it be known.
We do this for two reasons: to reinforce it with our self each day and to simply put it out there.
If you do not know where to start, please, use the comments box below to share it with me. I would love to know your personal purpose!
I am going to go ahead and share mine with you.
My purpose is to live a life independent of financial concerns so I can spend time with my family hunting, hiking, camping, and all things outdoors. That makes me feel so good!
Like I said earlier, this is one of many exercises I go through with my clients to grow profitable and thriving adventure businesses.
This week, I plan to deliver a few more tips and tricks to help you grow, profit, and thrive. To deliver you the most value, I want to know from you. What questions do you have about business growth, profitable, anything? What do you want to know? What have you struggled with and want me to help you through for free, right now? I have provided a few talking points in the video description so pick a couple of these or come up worth your own. You can comment, reply, or message me your thoughts.
Then, friend me on Facebook and join my mailing list. Depending on the topics you want to discuss, I will either film and post or do a Facebook live. The recording will be posted, and I’ll send a link to my followers to view.
At the end of the week, I will also present a limited time offer for my course to Grow A Profitable And Thriving Adventure Business. It will be a short-term discounted offer and a combination of bonuses that otherwise can not be purchased together. I have an idea of what it will be but have not nailed down all the pieces yet. I want to want to hear from you before I release it so speak up. This could be your chance to get some incredibly valuable knowledge and professional service at an inexpensive rate. I just need to know what interests you.
May it be a great month. I am so stoked to start the rebound and am excited to hear from you.
I am Zeb Smith, wherever you’re watching this, share your purpose in the comments below and let me know how I can help you grow a profitable and thriving adventure business.
